Who's Who of Indian Musicians (WWIM), originally published by Sangeet Natak Akademi: National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama (SNA) in two editions (1968 and 1984), is a voluminous directory of Indian musicians. The directory data was collected from vocalists and instrumentalists of Hindustani and Carnatic traditions, and other various genres including folk music. It is possible to use overall 3,160 entries (1,877 musicians) for inquiries about their birth year, specialization, and educational background, as well as their performing experiences abroad and publications, if any. Entries in this WWIM database are compiled from the original print versions after correcting the editorial errors such as duplications or misspellings.
